About the Fellowship
The African Builder Fellowship is a 1–2 year rotational and AfriLeap Studios program for Sub-Saharan Africa’s most promising operator-founders, startup builders, and entrepreneurs-in-residence. Fellows gain access to our venture tools, partners, and platforms to co-build high-impact startups.

New Venture Builder
As an Africa Builder Fellow, you’re not joining a company—you’re accelerating your path to becoming a founder. Earn significant equity in multiple ventures while gaining the operational experience most founders learn through expensive failures. Build a new startup from scratch alongside AfriLeap’s platform and advisors.
Sector Partner Fellow
Build within key verticals like Trade & Mobility (e.g FinTech, Logistics FinTech), Climate & Food (e.g AgriTech), or Health & Productivity (e.h HealthTech) with sector-specific support.
Fellowship Timeline
- Month 1: Founder Bootcamp + Ecosystem Immersion
- Month 2–3: Venture design, MVP creation, traction sprints
- Month 4–6: Go-to-market, investor pitch, and demo day
